2.6 We seek to use reasonable organizational, technical and administrative measures to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of personal data.We encourage you to safeguard your personal information when handling it online, such as by setting a strong password for your Callie account, limiting access to your computer and browser by logging out after your session, and avoiding providing us with any sensitive information.

Article 3. Collection and Use of Personal Information

3.1 Personal data refers to information that can be used to directly or indirectly identify you. Personal data also includes anonymized data that is associated with information that can be used to directly or indirectly identify you. Personal data does not include data that has been irreversibly anonymized or aggregated, so we only process limited personal information in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements, whether combined with other information or otherwise.

3.2 Purpose Of Collection And Use

To ensure high-quality communication with clients and potential clients, Callie collects only the names and email addresses of visitors who submit sales or technical support inquiries or participate in regular promotions or giveaways. Additionally, when you use our products and services or interact with us in other ways, we collect the limited personal data you provide, such as when you create an account, contact us, participate in online surveys, or use our online help or chat tools.

If you make a purchase, we collect personal data related to the purchase. This data includes your payment data, which including your billing, shipping and contact details.

Callie also collects and stores personal information about its customers to provide the requested customized products and services. Callie uses personal data to help verify accounts and enhance security to protect user privacy. Additionally, Callie may use personal data to provide products and services requested by customers, including verifying customers or contacting them to discuss support, renewals, and product purchases and services. This processing is based on safeguarding the legitimate interests of both the customer and the company.

3.4 If you have consented to register your account, or subscribe to our newsletter or blog, share your email address or other personal data with us to receive any other information (for example, a list of the sub-processors we have listed), we will send subscribed information and/or promotional material, such as newsletters, advertisements from us, and other information about the Services, to your email address. If you do not like it, at any time, you can unsubscribe from receiving emails from us.

  3. Information you provide during your use of our services may be shared with our logistics partners, limited to delivery information, and governed by confidentiality agreements.
  4. Your email address and other contact details, as well as customer service information you send to us, will be shared with vendors providing communication, email distribution, content delivery, and customer support services.
  5. Information related to your purchases and payments will be shared with billing and payment processing services, fraud detection and prevention services, and accounting and financial advisors, all under confidentiality agreements.
  6. We may share your personal data with our legal advisors within the reasonable scope necessary to maintain our legal rights.

4.3 Retention Period

We will retain your personal data as long as you have a Callie account or the legal basis for processing your personal data remains valid. If you unsubscribe from our newsletters or similar emails, we will stop processing the associated personal data. If you use our services without creating a Callie account, we will retain your limited personal data as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, such as retaining information related to the provision of services (e.g., for tax purposes).

After you terminate your relationship with us by deleting your Callie account or otherwise stopping the use of our services, we may continue to store your data (or, for businesses, your customers' personal data) to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes between us (or between you and your customers), prevent fraud and abuse, enforce our agreements, and/or protect our legitimate interests (to the extent permitted by applicable law) until all orders are fulfilled.

5.1 The GDPR Privacy Policy

If you are a resident of the European Union, the United Kingdom, Liechtenstein, Norway, or Iceland, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) concerning your personal data.

In certain cases, you may correct, amend, delete, withdraw consent, transfer, object to our use, file a complaint, or restrict the use of your personal data by logging into your Callie account or contacting us using the information provided below.

Additionally, in certain situations (especially when we do not need to process your data to fulfill a contract or other legal requirements), you may object to the processing of your personal data. These rights may be subject to limitations, such as if fulfilling your request would disclose personal data about another person, if we are required to retain the data by law, or if we have a legitimate interest that allows us to retain the information (where permitted by law).

Furthermore, if you believe we have processed your personal data unlawfully, you have the right to file a complaint with the contact information provided below or with your respective data protection supervisory authority. If you are a customer of a business (the end user of our services), please first address your concerns to the relevant business.

5.2 Rights of California residents

If you are a resident of California and you have provided us with limited personal information about yourself, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (‘CCPA’). 

You have the right to ask us to disclose your personal information that we collect, use, disclose and sell. Such as, to exercise your right to know, please contact us via support@callie.com.

You have the right to request the deletion of your personal information collected and stored by us. You can exercise this right by deleting your account in your account settings. If you delete your account, we will only retain information about your purchases and payments to comply with our legal obligations.

If you exercise your California Privacy Rights request as described above, we will request verification that you are logged into your Callie account.

You have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising any of your rights under the CCPA.

5.3 Rights of Nevada residents

If you are a resident of the State of Nevada, you have the right to choose to have certain personal data sold to third parties who intend to licence or sell that personal data. You may exercise this right by contacting us at support@callie.com and providing us with your name and the email address associated with your account.

Article 6. Deletion And Updating Of Personal Information

6.1 Updating Personal Information

Users may request changes to personal information stored, maintained or archived by Callie by sending an email to Callie. These requests are subject to verification by Callie to ensure their authenticity.

6.2 Use Of Information

Callie may use personal information to provide products and services requested by customers, including possibly using such information to verify customers or to contact customers to discuss support, renewals, and product purchases and services. Callie may allow its business partners to assist in providing the requested products and services. All Callie business partners are required to maintain the confidentiality of the very small amount of personal information obtained and to use it only to the extent necessary to provide the requested products and services.

6.3 We take reasonable measures to ensure that your personal data is accurate, complete, and up to date. You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we collect. You also have the right to restrict or object to further processing of your personal data at any time. Additionally, you have the right to receive your personal data in a structured and standard format. You may file a complaint with the data protection authority regarding the processing of your personal data.

6.4 To protect the privacy and security of your personal data, we may require verification to confirm your identity and your right to access such data, as well as to locate and provide you with the personal data we maintain. In certain cases, applicable legal or regulatory requirements may allow or require us to refuse to provide or delete some or all of the personal data we maintain. You can contact us to exercise your rights. We will respond to your request within a reasonable timeframe, and in any case, no later than 30 days.

6.5 We may send you advertisement and services that may interest you. You have the right to refuse our cookies or delete all cookies stored in your browser and set your browser to block the storage of cookies, thereby opting out of the sale of your personal information.

Article 7. Technical And Organizational Security Measures

Callie shall implement the following technical and organizational measures to ensure the physical security of personal data and control the systematic entry, access, transfer, input, availability and separation of personal data:

7.1 Establishing the identity of authorized persons and preventing unauthorized access to Callie's premises and facilities where personal data are processed.

7.2 Prevent unauthorised access to data processing systems:

  1. Use of up-to-date anti-virus software, which includes email filtering and malware detection.
  2. Install firewalls.
  3. Lock user and administrator computers when not in use.
  4. Require complex passwords and two-factor authentication (2FA) across all systems.
  5. Apply the principle of least privilege, granting only the necessary access for users to perform their job functions. Any access beyond these minimal privileges requires proper authorization.
  6. Conduct vulnerability scanning and remediation.
  7. Implement data center and website penetration testing programs.

7.3 Prevent unauthorized activities within the data processing system from exceeding the scope of any authorization granted:

  1. User and administrator access to the network is based on a group/role-based access rights model with an authorization concept that grants access to data on a ‘need-to-know’ basis only.
  2. Manage user access through system administrators or system owner privileges.
  3. Conduct IT governance and control audits by external third parties regularly.
  4. Conduct regular internal control audits.

7.4 Ensure that unauthorized individuals cannot read, copy, modify, or delete personal data during electronic transmission or when it is stored on data carriers. This also ensures that it is possible to verify and establish where personal data is transmitted or accessed through data transmission equipment.

Article 8. E-mails And Other Instructions

8.1 Callie may send promotional emails to individuals who have opted in to the Callie mailing list. These emails include beacons that return information about the email to Callie. This communication is intended to allow Callie to measure the effectiveness of its advertising and marketing activities. Subscribers may opt out of receiving any type of non-essential promotional communications from Callie by following the instructions provided in each promotional email or by sending an email to support@callie.com.

8.2 Callie reserves the right to send inquiry emails to its customers. Inquiry emails must relate to the primary purpose for which the information was collected and are specifically used to respond to queries, provide customer support, offer information, and inform customers about ordered products and services. Because inquiry emails contain essential information related to the use and security of Callie products and services, customers cannot unsubscribe from inquiry emails.

8.3 Callie may use third parties to manage its email lists and send promotional or inquiry emails, under confidentiality agreements. However, Callie restricts its partners from sending spam related to Callie’s website, brand, or products.

8.4 Privacy Policy Changes

Any future changes to this Privacy Policy will be posted on this page. Therefore, we recommend you review this page periodically.
